As a fourth-generation resident of Halls Hill, which was a completely African-American community until the 1970s, the book “My Halls Hill Family: More than a Neighborhood” is Wilma Jones’ attempt to save at least some of the community’s stories.

Join us for (free!) drinks, networking, and a conversation with author Wilma Jones. Her book, “My Halls Hill Family: More than a Neighborhood,” tells the story of a community that dates back to 1850 when Bazil Hall purchased 327 acres of land for a plantation.

Learn more about Wilma through a feature on the Arlington for Everyone blog.

This event is open to anyone who is curious about affordable housing and the history of Arlington.

RSVPs are not required but will help us plan. Send an email with your name and those of any guests you plan to bring to ahstaff@allianceforhousingsolutions.org.
