Arlington Mill Residences is an Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing development.
Now fully occupied, APAH's family-friendly complex (98 of the 121 committed-affordable units have 2 or 3 bedrooms) was built adjacent to the new Arlington Mill Community Center. (Nearly 1,000 households participated in the lottery for the 121 new units.) Arlington County provided the 75-year ground lease (an example of public land for public good) to keep the units affordable to households at 60% AMI or less. Arlington's escalating land prices are one of the biggest barriers to construction of more affordable housing. Read more about the development process and financing.
