There's no place like (a) home. A few weeks ago, I was in Richmond on the receiving end of a dose of bad news about support for housing-related issues at the federal level.
If I had stayed home that day (it should be noted that I did learn many useful things in Richmond), I would have been present as the doors of the Macedonian officially opened---a positive-outcome story about why those funds matter and the lives they change.
The Macedonian features 36 affordable apartments, including 5 for persons with disabilities. For more on the building itself and what it brings to the neighborhood, link here.
The Macedonian was a team effort, combining financial resources from the County, Enterprise Community Partners Inc., and the Virginia Housing Development Authority. Learn more about the partnership and the opening here.
